The 2018 vintage saw early flowering making it one of the earliest vintages recorded in Burgundy. Throughout the growing season, the vines are healthy and disease free.
August was very dry but there had been enough rain earlier in the growing season to sustain the vines. The grapes matured quickly giving a high concentration of sugar and medium to low acidity.
At Domaine Jessiaume, harvest began on the 29th of August and produced excellent quality grapes and also high in quantity. The wines at Jessiaume are rich and elegant with intense reds and very aromatic whites.
2018 is a great year in Burgundy!
