Guy Farge is an up and coming winemaker in the Northern Rhône. His winery looks across the Rhône River to the appellations of Hermitage and Crozes-Hermitage.
His vines are planted in St Joseph, St Peray, Cornas., Condrieu and Vins du Pay L’Ardèche. He used to send his grapes to the Co-operative in Tain L’Hermitage, but since 2007 he has been making his own wines and he started his own domaine in that year.
His vines in St Joseph are grown on steep terraces overlooking the Rhône River. He is most respectful of the environment and uses minimal pesticides.
His wines show a great purity and reflect the individual terroir of each different plot. They consistently punch above their weight in terms of the quality they deliver at the various price points.
