Burgundy 2016

The 2016 vintage in Burgundy has once again been difficult. Many of the vineyards suffered from frost damage late in April. Chablis, in particular, suffered badly with the worst frosts since 1981.

Hail also struck a number of vineyards and there were outbreaks of mildew that affected the crops.

Once again, good producers have made excellent wine but the quantities are small.
