We are delighted to introduce Domaine Jean-Louis Schoepfer to Australia. The winery is located in the village of Wettelsheim, 5 km south-east of Colmar.
The Schoepfer family planted their first vines in 1656 and the family has continued to produce fine wines to this day. The current winemaker, Gilles Schoepfer, combines his family’s tradition and respect for the terroir with modern winemaking practices.
The family has 10 hectares including a number of plots in the Grand Cru vineyard “Hengst” on the edge of the village. They have holdings of all the classic Alsace grape varies and also make a Cremant.
