Hospices de Beaune Tasting Notes
The 157th Hospices de Beaune Wine Auction took place on the 19th November, 2017.
This famous auction is conducted by Christie’s Auction House on behalf of the Hospices de Beaune.
We were fortunate to be able to purchase a barrel of Beaune 1er Cru Cuvée Dames Hospitalières. This fine cuvée traditionally opens the auction and is named for the lady nurses who have tended the sick of the Hospices since its foundation in 1443.
