The Côte de Nuits begins just south of Dijon. The northern most appellation is Fixin and the area traverses villages to the south with the final commune being Corgolin.
Most of the wine produced in the the Côte de Nuits is red but there is also some white wine, some Rosé and also some Crémant de Bourgogne produced.
There are 24 Grand Crus in the Côte de Nuits. Each of these Grand Crus produces red wine and one of them, Musigny, also produces white wine.
